Job Summary
Respond in a timely manner to incoming tasks including requests for quotes, order entry, application assistance, product selection, and resolving customer issues. Retrieve customer information, stock status, and purchase order details using the P21 system while ensuring correct codes are applied. Coordinate with accounting to verify customer credit status before order entry and contact vendors to locate requested items for delivery. Relay vendor information to customers and provide technical guidance regarding part specifications. This role supports both external customers and outside sales representatives at AHP. The position requires excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, with a high school diploma required and related experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus
