Job Summary
Handle phone-in customers with pleasant and courteous etiquette while utilizing product and technical knowledge to assist with product selection. Provide written quotations including terms and delivery methods, then prepare sale orders and confirm payment terms. Resolve order issues by collaborating with external vendors and internal departments to ensure timely material delivery. Reach monthly sales and gross margin goals while encouraging the use of digital tools across the customer base. Multi-task and prioritize tasks throughout the day in a fast-paced environment. This role requires sitting for most of the shift, walking between areas, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Full-time associates work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm in West Deptford, NJ, earning a starting rate of $25/hr with access to healthcare, dental, vision, PTO, and a 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write proficiently in English
- Strong mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills
- The ability to operate computers and relevant computer software
- Ability to prioritize needs in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to sit for much of the assigned shift while using phones, and computers
- The ability to walk between work area, counter, and warehouse throughout the day
- The ability to lift, push, and pull material and objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and heavier weights with proper equipment
- The ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform various duties
Desired Qualifications
- Sales experience and/or electrical knowledge preferred
