Job Summary
Remote-eligible USAA Property Adjuster role focusing on investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling low-to-moderate complexity property claims. Requires knowledge of estimating tools (Xactimate or similar), strong negotiation and communication skills, coordination with vendors, meticulous claim file documentation, and ability to support CAT operations. Role involves on-site work three days per week for applicants near designated offices (Phoenix, San Antonio, Colorado Springs, Chesapeake, Tampa) with potential remote work for others within the continental US. Requires high school diploma and 1 year of relevant claims or related experience; acquisition and maintenance of an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and up to 3 attempts. Compensation ranges from $57,970 to $97,820, with no visa sponsorship. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- 1 year of experience handling low complexity property claims and/or customer service, military leadership, construction related industry/insurance experience
- Knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms
- Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Working knowledge and understanding of claims contracts as well as application of case law and state laws and regulations
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through multiple business applications
