Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including brake jobs, chamber replacements, and wheel end adjustments. Perform preventive maintenance inspections, identify structural deficiencies, air leaks, and safety device issues, then accurately complete DOT forms and work orders. Examine all system parts for damage, excessive wear, loose bolts, broken welds, and rusted components while strictly following safety protocols. Requires Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification and minimum one year of diesel mechanic experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of diesel mechanic experience
- Federal Annual and Brake Inspector certification required (within 6 months of hire)
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
- Ability to read technical manuals and instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Customer service-oriented
- Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment
