Job Summary
Inside Counter Sales Associate at Colony Hardware: serve customers face-to-face in a branch by providing consultative sales support, preparing quotes, processing orders, coordinating with outside sales, operations, and purchasing, and assisting with warehouse tasks (pulling orders, packing, cycle counting, forklift operation). Requires 2-3 years inside sales experience, knowledge of building materials/construction products, forklift experience, and a high school diploma (college degree preferred). 100% onsite at the North Charleston, SC branch, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Strong customer-service focus, ability to cross-sell/add-on products, and effective communication via phone and email are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful inside sales experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of customer service and order processing systems
- Knowledge of building materials and construction industry products a plus (concrete, masonry, rebar)
- Prior warehousing experience including operating a forklift
