Job Summary
Assist Outside Sales Representatives through the entire order process, including lead identification, quoting, order entry, and expediting. Conduct discovery calls with current accounts to expand sales and prospect for new customers within assigned territories. Build cross-functional relationships to execute bookings and closed sales while managing customer service requests via phone, email, or in-person meetings. Assess customer situations to develop options and deliver solutions, utilizing Salesforce to maintain a pipeline of opportunities and analyze interaction data. Work with vendors to negotiate pricing and delivery, advise customers on funding vehicles, and conduct research for new sales territories to achieve annual goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of sales experience
- 5 years of customer service experience
- 5 years experience MS Office, particularly Excel & Outlook
- 2 years experience with a Customer Relationship Management program
- Knowledge of tactical equipment, military, or federal agencies
- Knowledge of government contracts (TLS, OTA, COTS, FEDMALL, GSA, etc.)
- Knowledge of JDE Enterprise System
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and its purpose
- Must be able to creatively assess problems and provide solutions
- Must be able to operate in a completely unscripted environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be willing and able to talk to new people with ease
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and organized, able to manage competing priorities with relative comfort
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
