Job Summary
Process sales orders and convert quotations into orders through phone and in-person interactions. Grow the customer base with outbound campaigns while maintaining relationships with key accounts to increase market share. Act as a project manager for large initiatives by tracking lead times and communicating updates. Resolve customer issues regarding pricing deductions and product returns, and assist clients with order pickups. Analyze construction blueprints to identify requirements and close profitable sales. Communicate credit risk changes to the Credit Department and expedite materials with vendors. Meet gross profit and sales targets while supporting Outside Sales and Counter Teams.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales
- contractor experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Outstanding customer service and telephone skills
- Possess a high level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- must be able to multitask and balance many different deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify customer requirements and provide profitable solutions and close the sale
- Intermediate math skills
- ability to learn applicable operating and quotation software systems
