Job Summary
Hunter Inside Sales Representative focused on building new business within Commercial whitespace accounts. Develop and own a territory plan for ~100 to 150 accounts, with a strategy to gain introductions, solve business challenges, and position Elastic’s Search, Observability, and security offerings. Identify and qualify opportunities through inbound leads, personal prospecting, and existing accounts; collaborate cross-functionally with sales development, marketing, partners, product, and customer service to drive results. Negotiate pricing and contractual terms as required to close deals; accurately forecast territory performance and resource needs per the sales process. Compensation includes base salary plus variable component (OTE) with typical starting salary, variable, and OTE ranges. Ideal candidates are based near Austin, TX; New York, NY; or Arlington, VA, and able to work from the office as needed, indicating a HYBRID work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in sales roles focused on hunting or creating new accounts
- ability to develop territory plans for 100-150 accounts
- experience prospecting and qualifying opportunities in whitespace
- strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- ability to forecast territory performance and adhere to sales process
- collaboration with sales development, marketing, partners, product, and customer service teams
- comfort with base salary plus variable compensation (OTE) and understanding of total rewards
- prior experience with open-source or developer-centric infrastructure (bonus)
- familiarity with observability or security analytics use cases (bonus)
