Job Summary
Hunter Inside Sales Representative focused on building new business within whitespace Commercial accounts. Develop and own a territory plan for 100–150 accounts, prospect daily to gain introductions and solve business challenges, qualify opportunities, and position Elastic’s Search/Observability/Security solutions. Work cross-functionally with sales development, marketing, partners, product, and customer service to deliver results; negotiate pricing and contractual terms as needed; accurately forecast territory performance per the company sales process. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hunter or new-account sales, can create and execute pipeline strategies, collaborate effectively, are self-starters, and possess strong written and oral communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Bonus points for experience at open-source or developer-centric infra companies and familiarity with observability or security analytics use cases. Compensation includes base salary plus variable pay with OTE; typical ranges: base $65,600–$103,700, variable $65,500–$103,600, and OTE $131,100–$207,300; Elastic provides stock, 401k match, benefits, flexible scheduling, and generous leave.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sales roles that are defined as hunting or creating new accounts
- Strong ability to plan and execute strategies related to driving pipeline in whitespace accounts
- A collaborative and inventive approach to problem-solving
- The desire and ability to operate and thrive in an ambitious, self-starting environment
- Technologically adept and business acumen focused with outstanding communication both written and oral, negotiation and presentation skills
