Job Summary
Read job tickets and follow Standard Operating Procedures to operate 6x9 and #10 OSE size inserting equipment safely. Sort, containerize, and manage all classes of mail while maintaining quality and quantity standards. Act as team leader for assigned sorter, bagger, and temporary workers, ensuring accurate outcomes and reporting production issues immediately to the shift supervisor. Keep production areas clean and adhere to all safety protocols regarding moving mechanical parts and chemical exposure. Perform duties during the 3:30 pm to 12 am Monday through Friday shift. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- three to six months related experience
- Ability to read a limited number of one & two syllable words
- Ability to print & speak simple sentences
- Ability to add & subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to multiply & divide with 10s & 100s
- Standing or walking most of the day
- may climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Regularly lift up to 25 pounds
