Job Summary
Inplant Ink Technician responsible for maintaining on-site ink room at a customer site, serving as liaison between INX and the customer. Duties include reviewing scheduling and coordinating jobs, providing press-side technical support, performing technical service, color matching, ink production and dispensing, evaluating production requirements, inventory management, monthly consignment counts, job estimates, quality control tests on batches, data entry accuracy, and generating monthly reports. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs., strong customer service and communication skills, color vision, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and 2–5 years of related experience. College degree is a plus; experience with spectrophotometers, X-Rite IQC, SAP, and inplant/warehouse operations are advantageous. Equal Opportunity Employer: disability/veteran.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
- Color vision test
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective communication with peers and customers
- Excellent written, reading comprehension and math skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
- 2 to 5 years of work related experience
- Spectrophotometer knowledge & experience
- Technically qualified to service Offset Sheetfed products
- Familiar with X-Rite IQC
- Flexible packaging knowledge
- Flexographic printing knowledge
- Solvent ink knowledge
- Previous lab, inplant, and warehouse experience
- SAP Knowledge
- Inplant pressroom experience
- College degree
