Job Summary
Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients in the inpatient unit, including hygiene, body positioning, decubitus care, and ambulation assistance. Monitor and document vital signs, communicate pertinent observations to the RN regarding pain or symptoms, and assist patients with activities of daily living. Perform routine hospice aide procedures such as enemas and catheter care under RN direction while supporting family members and providing temporary respite. Accurately document care in medical records, attend weekly IDT meetings, and participate in organizational committees. Work night shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM three days a week with a salary based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- at least one year CNA experience
- active SRNA license
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Successful completion of state approved Nursing Assistant training program
- Current registration on the Kentucky Nursing Assistant Registry
- Successful completion of HHA competency evaluation by Hospice of Lake Cumberland
- Minimum 1 year experience in a patient care position in a hospital, nursing home or home care setting
- Must be available for night shift
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for 36 hour per position with 12 hour shifts
- Must be available for 8PM to 8AM three days a week
- Must be available for every other weekend
Desired Qualifications
