Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing while consulting with patients, families, and caregivers. Deliver quality, patient-centered care by collaborating with care teams and stakeholders, maintaining effective communication with internal and external parties, and participating in interdisciplinary meetings and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide skilled clinical services utilizing evidence-based practices, mentor students and new hires, and promote continuing education opportunities for self and staff. Adhere to system and regulatory requirements for documentation, billing, and working hours, while meeting established productivity standards. Requires a Master's degree in Communication Disorders/Speech Language Pathology, current licensure, and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency. Located at St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, with 30 scheduled weekly hours.
