Job Summary
Inpatient RN Quick Care responsible for direct nursing care of an assigned patient population within a hospital/clinical setting. Utilizes the nursing process to assess patients, develop individualized care plans, administer medications and therapies, coordinate referrals and transitions of care, and collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, diagnosing and planning, implementing evidence-based interventions, patient and family education, advocacy, and quality improvement activities. Requires current Texas RN license (BSN preferred), CPR/BLS certification, and adherence to ANA standards and Driscoll Health System policies. The role may involve floating to different care areas as needed, supports staffing demands, and may include travel to satellite clinics. Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Texas
- BSN preferred
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR)
- Advanced Specialty Courses (ASC) according to Attachment A
- National Certification in specialty must be attempted within 4 years of hire
- Completion of nursing assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation using the nursing process
- Experience in coordinating care, referrals, and transitions of care
- Ability to perform essential nursing duties per Texas Nursing Practice Act
- Strong communication and collaboration with interprofessional teams
