Job Summary
The Inpatient RN at Driscoll Health System provides direct nursing care to an assigned patient population, employing the nursing process to plan and deliver effective care within the Texas scope of practice. The role requires compliance with established standards of practice, policies, and clinical guidelines reflective of evidence-based best practices. Candidates must hold a current RN license in Texas, be graduates from an accredited nursing school, and have BLS certification by hire. A BSN is preferred, and ongoing education including Advanced Specialty Courses and National Certification is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Texas
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- BLS required before hire
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- National Certification in specialty must be attempted within 3 years of completing orientation and continuously maintained ongoing
- Advanced Specialty Courses (ASC)/Credentials according to Appendix A
