Inpatient RN - 4th Tower / Oncology/Hematology, Day Shift

Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients in the 4th Tower Oncology/Hematology unit during day shift, utilizing the nursing process to plan and deliver effective care within Texas scope of practice. Perform initial and ongoing focused assessments to analyze changes in patient condition, administer medications and therapeutic treatments per clinical guidelines, and document timely interventions in the electronic medical record. Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families, develop individualized education plans, and advocate for patients by initiating appropriate referrals and utilizing the chain of command. Prioritize and direct care for assigned patients while participating in quality improvement initiatives and practice change based on evidence-based standards.
