Job Summary
Occupational Therapist provides inpatient rehab services, assessing and planning rehabilitation programs to restore or improve activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognitive tasks, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Responsibilities include developing and revising treatment plans, selecting and implementing appropriate therapy activities, educating patients and families, documenting evaluations and plans of care, discharge planning and referrals to community resources, serving as a liaison for staff and physicians, adhering to departmental guidelines and regulatory standards, and contributing to professional development and quality initiatives. Requires collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team, strong communication and documentation skills, and adherence to infection prevention and hospital policies. Education required: Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy with licensure/certification requirements as stated; BLS certification required upon hire.
