Job Summary
Occupational Therapist in inpatient rehab assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to restore or improve activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognitive tasks, strength, coordination and range of motion for patients with disease or injury. Responsible for treatment planning, provision of care, patient and family education, discharge planning, and documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and regulatory standards. Collaborates with physicians, staff and families, serves as a referral source for services and equipment, ensures ethical practice, confidentiality, attendance and professional development, and adheres to infection prevention and cost-conscious care principles. Emphasizes patient-centered care, AIDET principles, teamwork, and service recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy
- OT license
- BLS certification
