Job Summary
Complete scheduled quality assurance reviews for internal teams and external client organizations, validating that coders accurately abstract data per ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, UHDDS, and CMS directives. Conduct onboarding audits and training for newly hired inpatient coders, including delivering educational sessions on error trends and Present on Admission (POA) indicators. Communicate audit findings to management and client contacts, assist in drafting quality improvement action plans, and maintain reports on coder accuracy rates. Respond to client QA inquiries, notify management of compliance concerns, and demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA regulations while maintaining confidentiality. Perform other duties as assigned to meet productivity and quality standards. This remote role supports e4health's mission to streamline clinical and financial workflows across 400+ hospitals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations
- Promote confidentiality and discretion in handling patient information
- Maintain coding credential requirements
- Maintain required productivity and quality standards
- Attend educational conference calls and client meetings as required
