Job Summary
Inpatient RN role within Fresenius Kidney Care's CAP program, providing clinically competent care for an assigned group of dialysis patients. Responsibilities include patient data collection and analysis pre-during-post treatment, documentation in the medical record, patient and family education, coordination with the health care team, administration of medications and prescribed treatments, initiation of emergency response, and participation in staff training and quality improvement activities. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, active state RN licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and hands-on experience in nephrology/dialysis settings (entry level to mid-level with preferred 9–12 months RN experience and dialysis exposure). The role may involve travel between facilities and may include on-call rotation as defined by the program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as an RN
- Minimum 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse, 12 months (preferred)
- 6 months acute dialysis experience (preferred)
- Hemodialysis and/or ICU experience (preferred)
