Inpatient Registered Nurse (PRN)

Job Summary
Implement physician orders, conduct head-to-toe assessments, and monitor hemodynamic status to ensure optimal patient care in the emergency care setting. Communicate with physicians regarding patient status changes, interpret diagnostic study results, and manage pain using appropriate techniques. Perform waived testing, administer medications based on clinical conditions, and maintain accurate nursing documentation while adhering to safety protocols and policies. Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or treatment response, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy in alignment with the Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current South Dakota Nursing License in good standing
- Current CPR and ACLS certification
- Current RN license
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a hospital setting
- Weekend availability
- Monday to Friday availability
- Holidays availability
- 12 hour shift availability
- Ability to care for patients for adult to geriatric patients
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organization habits
- Excellent teaching skills
- Basic knowledge of continuous quality improvement ideology
- Basic computer skills
- EHR Documentation via EPOWERdoc
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Telemetry/ICU experience
- Current PALS Certification
- PALS preferred
