Job Summary
Inpatient Phlebotomist to collect and submit patient blood samples on a part-time weekend-rotation schedule. Responsibilities include venipuncture, sample labeling and integrity, providing patient safety and comfort, using Hospital Information System and Laboratory Information System, managing workload, transporting specimens (including off-site duties), and adhering to CAP regulations and infection control practices. Must communicate effectively with the healthcare team and demonstrate critical thinking; shifts alternate between 8:00 AM–6:30 PM and 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, every third weekend. Requires high school diploma or GED, BLS/CPR, valid MI driver’s license; phlebotomy certification preferred.
