Job Summary
Support the pharmacy department under pharmacist supervision by managing inventory, preparing and compounding medications, processing refill orders, and entering orders into the system. Handle supplies, stock prepackaged items, maintain records, and distribute medications for disbursement or delivery. Assist with bulk compounding of I.V. solutions and work with staff to minimize medication errors. Requires a high school diploma, Indiana Pharmacy Tech license or training certification, and strong mathematical calculation skills. Full-time position with benefits including 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and student loan forgiveness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Indiana Pharmacy Tech-In Training
- Indiana Pharmacy Technician License
- intern/extern license if enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy
- Pharmacy Technician National Certification within one year of hire unless enrolled in accredited college of pharmacy or enrolled in or graduated from an ASHP/ACPE accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
- absence of criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs
- strong mathematical calculation skills
- ability to learn basic pharmacy technician skills in assigned areas and work under close supervision or under clearly defined procedures
- ability to learn effective written and communication skills
- ability to learn and execute customer services skills
- basic proficiency typing and using Microsoft office applications
