Inpatient Per Diem Occupational Therapist

SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist provides comprehensive examinations to determine functional impairments and establishes diagnosis and prognosis; develops an individualized plan of care, implements treatment interventions, and conducts ongoing evaluations through the episode of care. Responsibilities include communicating with patients, caregivers, rehabilitation staff, and other health care professionals; examining and evaluating patients; directing and coordinating the rehabilitation plan of care; educating/training patients and caregivers; documenting and billing accurately and timely; ensuring eligibility/medical necessity of services; recommending additional diagnostics/services; applying evidence-based practice; participating in quality improvement initiatives; providing supervision to assistants and supportive personnel; and supporting departmental teamwork. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and RI state licensure; new graduates considered. Pay range is listed as hourly (not annual) with a full shift schedule.
