Job Summary
Inpatient Occupational Therapist responsible for initial evaluation, reevaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, reporting and documentation of referred patients, providing education to patients and families, and serving as a resource within the OT service. Responsibilities include ensuring care follows accreditation/licensing standards and professional ethics, performing discharge planning and DME recommendations, maintaining timely documentation and schedules, and participating in staff development, education, and program improvement initiatives. The role requires strong clinical reasoning, communication, collaboration within a team, and ongoing professional growth, with a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy and DC licensure or eligibility, plus BLS.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- Professional competency as a general practitioner of occupational therapy
- DC licensure or eligibility
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Demonstrated independent use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- May be developing advanced level competencies in one or more aspects of occupational therapy
