Job Summary
Provides evaluation, reevaluation, and implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans for inpatients in alignment with accreditation guidelines and professional standards. Delivers education to patients and families, documents interventions and outcomes, and serves as a resource in the OT domain. Participates in staff development, education activities, program development, and continuous process improvement within a large healthcare system. Utilizes clinical reasoning to maximize safe, effective patient care, contributes to discharge planning and DME recommendations, and supports ongoing clinical and administrative system improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
- DC licensure or eligibility
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Professional competency as a general practitioner of occupational therapy
- Demonstrated independent use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches
- May be developing advanced level competencies in one or more aspects of occupational therapy
