Job Summary
Inpatient Medical Coder at Savista reviewing and accurately coding inpatient rehabilitation medical records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS; ensure accurate DRG assignment and compliant coding; collaborate with providers, CDI specialists, and internal teams; leverage EMR/encoder systems; maintain productivity and quality while staying current with coding updates and regulatory changes; remote USA role with salary $28-$33/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years inpatient coding experience required
- strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRG assignment and inpatient coding guidelines
- experience with EMR systems; InVision experience preferred
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS coding certification preferred
- strong research and analytical thinking skills; ability to interpret complex clinical documentation
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to work independently and meet deadlines in remote or fast-paced environment
- strong communication and collaboration skills
