Job Summary
Inpatient Hospital Coding Auditor role in Baptist Metro Square, remote full-time, responsible for correctly identifying and assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS diagnosis and procedure codes to inpatient accounts, verifying CPT-4 codes on Observation accounts, and submitting abstracted information to the billing system for claim submission. Requires auditing and training skills, strong attention to detail, time management, and effective communication; must work with minimal supervision. Education: High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred. AHIMA credentials preferred (RHIT/RHIA/CCS). 3-5 years of acute care coding experience required. Residency restrictions include a list of approved states; candidate must reside in one of the approved states. Proficient in encoder usage and EHR systems; mentoring and collaboration with CDI/HIM teams encouraged. Primary location noted as Metro Square, United States of America, with remote work option implied by role description.
