Job Summary
Provide high-level, intensive inpatient behavioral health services to acute or high-risk populations, including those who are actively suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, or gravely disabled. Deliver individual and family-based therapeutic services while maintaining a caseload of minimally 32 billable clinical hours per week. Facilitate group work, art or music-based therapy, and milieu interventions to support interdisciplinary treatment of complex, comorbid, or treatment-resistant disorders. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and social workers to create holistic treatment and discharge plans, implementing de-escalation techniques and emergency protocols as needed. Develop clinical programming aligned with state, local, and federal requirements while maintaining rigorous documentation standards. Perform on-call services for acute therapeutic needs on a rotating basis. Requires a Colorado license (LP, LCSW, or LPC), BLS certification, and a master's or doctoral degree.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably an inpatient psychiatric unit, required
- Documented experience in crisis response and working with acute populations, required
- State of Colorado Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- State of Colorado Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- State of Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS), required
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc
- Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- Doctoral or master's degree in counseling psychology, clinical psychology, social work, counseling, or related field, required
- Must be HIPAA compliant
Desired Qualifications
- Rural behavioral health experience with specific knowledge of resources and community agencies specific to Eagle County, preferred
- Understanding of Colorado laws and regulations as they relate to the mental health practices, privacy, confidentiality, supervision, and ethical delivery of care, preferred
- Bilingual; English/Spanish preferred
