Job Summary

Collaborate with Behavioral Health Clinicians, Nurses, and Direct Care Specialists to develop and implement individual treatment plans and ensure psychology behavior plans are followed. Orient and mentor new staff on behavior protocols, techniques, and interventions while coordinating in-hospital shadowing and training. Model appropriate patient interactions and ensure daily therapeutic activities are completed with accurate behavioral data documentation. Manage time effectively to provide weekly training and coaching on patient behavior plans, offering constructive feedback on clinical and professional skills. Monitor proper patient care and safety while following established guidelines for patient acuity and agency policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting four (4) years of relevant experience for the required education
  • Safety Care Instructor certification
  • Ability to work with patients 0-21 years of age
  • Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to learn and enjoy collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to model appropriate patient interactions for staff
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate and designated interventions
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to provide weekly training and coaching
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback
  • Ability to follow all agency and departmental policies
  • Ability to take a leadership role in modeling and monitoring proper patient care and safety
  • Ability to follow established guidelines for patient acuity
  • Ability to complete all required/assigned hospital training
  • Ability to participate in departmental meetings
  • Ability to notify Behavioral Health Clinicians of any equipment or supply needs
