Job Summary
Inpatient Assistant Nurse Manager in Oncology supports the Patient Care Manager by planning, organizing, and evaluating nursing practice standards on the unit; provides supervision and coordination of nursing staff; ensures high-quality patient care, efficient resource use, and fiscal accountability; mentors and coaches staff, fosters teamwork and engagement, and upholds diversity. Collaborates with physicians and leaders to maintain regulatory compliance, quality and safety initiatives, and shared governance. Leads staff development and performance management, drives quality improvement, and supports ongoing professional growth and organizational goals. The role requires BSN or advanced nursing degree, nursing leadership experience, and NY/CT RN licensure with unit-specific certifications as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or Advanced degree in nursing
- 2 years of relevant clinical experience, with 1 year of leadership experience or demonstrated leadership skills
- Nursing Certification in leadership or related specialty preferred
- License: New York State RN License and CT State RN License
- Certifications required based on unit specialties
