Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for primary and secondary disorders, assessing comorbid medical illness and addictions in an inpatient setting. Collaborate closely with clinic staff to develop treatment plans using psychotherapeutic methods and medication, while monitoring and adjusting treatment as needed. Provide crisis intervention, consult with primary care physicians and nurses, and maintain detailed clinical records. Keep professional knowledge current through publications and conferences while complying with all policies regarding confidentiality and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified/eligible for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology at initial appointment, and Board certified by the next re-appointment cycle (2yrs)
- Unrestricted licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and state registration for Massachusetts to prescribe controlled substances
