Job Summary
Innovation & Technology Lead, Lower School (Pre-K to Grade 6) at MacLachlan College provides strategic direction and instructional leadership in technology and innovation. The role balances teaching (approximately 60%) with coaching, collaboration, and program development (approximately 40%), and involves developing student skills in coding, digital literacy, design thinking, and computational thinking; embedding technology into IB PYP units; coordinating with the IT Department; and guiding faculty on best practices in educational technology to support inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
- Experience in an IB PYP or inquiry-based setting (asset)
- Leadership experience in an educational setting (asset)
- Experience in an independent school environment (asset)
- Strong technical skills and familiarity with educational technology platforms
