Innovation Technology Analyst

Job Summary
Maintain infrastructure components including fiber optic networks across ten buildings, complex audio-visual configurations, VoIP systems, and Google Apps for Education platforms. Collaborate with outside contractors to manage wired, wireless, and BYOD mobile policies while supporting Chrome OS-based hardware. Stay current on educational technology trends to present recommendations to management on new initiatives and provide customer service to staff, parents, and students. This role supports the Director of Finance in executing the Academy's strategic vision within a progressive cloud and premises-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity and direct experience with cloud-based operating systems and thin-client hardware
- High-level understanding of information technology infrastructure
- Experience with educational use of technology, including knowledge of current best practices and philosophies
- Deep expertise in at least one but preferably more than one of the following areas: programming, networking, audio-visual equipment, database architecture
- High level of expertise with a wide variety of computer applications; spreadsheets, databases at a minimum, experience with Google's Apps infrastructure
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task and respond quickly to requests for information
- Ability to manage long term projects while dealing with short-term tasks
- Enthusiasm for working in an educational environment, including comfort interfacing with a wide variety of individuals and expertise levels
- Must be able to alter plans/routines when unexpected, stressful situations and multiple interruptions occur without projecting stress/frustration that would adversely affect the work environment
- Candidate must be able to lift
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or higher in computer science, programming, network engineering, or related field a plus
- Experience with Google's Apps for Education as the basis for its entire infrastructure
- Proven ability to learn new technologies and systems as they roll out
- Experience with Microsoft-based technology
