Job Summary
Lead state-of-the-art physical and chemical characterization of materials, surfaces, and liquids through experimental design, data collection, and interpretation. Own diverse analytical instruments to deliver consistent measurement data, establish Standard Operation Procedures, and develop Python code for automation. Support innovation projects for industrial water purification and quality monitoring, maintain contact with international suppliers, and prepare analytical reports. Participate in new product development within the Innovation department while working with global experts in water treatment.
Required Qualifications
- MSc or equivalent in Physics, Nanotechnology, Materials Science, Chemistry or equivalent
- Proficiency in surface analysis using microscopes (Optical, Scanning Electron Microscope, Atomic Force Microscope)
- Experience with semiconductor tools, wafer handlings, and quality analysis on wafer
- Experience with sampling and analysis performed in cleanroom environment (50%)
- Proficiency in Quality Control, SOPs and lab environment work
- Self-driven personality, creative, and able to work under pressure
- Hands-on mentality with a sense of ownership and responsibility
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented working capability
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to travel internationally (occasionally; up to 10%)
- Fluent in English
- EU or Swiss citizenship or valid Swiss work permit
