Job Summary
Innovation Engineer – Data Center Cooling drives end-to-end innovation from idea generation through concept development, prototyping and manufacturability, serving as the front-end technical interface between Product Management, R&D, and customers. The role translates market needs into robust technical concepts, supports target product profiles, prepares front-end deliverables and handover specifications, performs analyses (pressure-loss, thermal, basic structural), analyzes layouts/isometrics for system design, builds application know-how to unlock opportunities, and collaborates with Product, Portfolio Management, and customers to shape innovative cooling solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Plastics Engineering or similar)
- 6 - 9 years of experience
- Direct Liquid Cooling expertise
- fluid dynamics
- pressure-loss calculations
- basic thermal system design
- ability to assess structural integrity of piping and plastic components
- proficiency in CAD tools (Siemens NX)
- experience in prototyping and plastics engineering
- ability to communicate across stakeholders
- Fluent in English (German a plus)
