Job Summary
Innovation Design Engineer to design stove products with CAD-driven solid modeling and apply mechanical engineering principles (thermal, structural, materials) to stove design, troubleshoot and iterate, work hands-on in the lab with prototyping and testing, contribute to intellectual property strategy and roadmap development, and collaborate across teams to align product strategy with consumer needs and regulatory trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science or combination of education and relevant experience
- 8 or more years of professional experience in R&D and/or new product development or equivalent with advanced degree plus professional experience
- Strong CAD and design skills
- Ability to learn quickly and take ownership of projects
- Effective communication and collaboration
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Technical: Prior experience in a research environment. Experience in a lab setting performing experiments, testing, concept development, prototyping, etc.
- Communication: excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization
- Consumer focused: help teams to listen to and uncover unmet consumer needs
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Initiative and ability to work independently
