Job Summary
Lower School Innovation Center Teacher to collaborate with classroom teachers and innovation faculty, design and facilitate interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences aligned with curricular goals, and integrate design thinking, engineering, coding, robotics, fabrication, and creative technologies. Responsibilities include guiding students through the design thinking process, coaching robotics teams and student competitions, mentoring in invention and entrepreneurship, participating in after-school programs and events, maintaining makerspaces and equipment, managing inventory and safety training related to fabrication and robotics, and contributing to the growth of the PK3–12 Innovation Pathway. Ideal candidate exhibits strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for inspiring curiosity and innovation across disciplines and adapting to diverse learner needs. Preferred experience with Scratch, Dash, Sphero, LEGO Robotics, CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting, and maker-centered learning environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, STEM Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience teaching elementary-aged students.
