Job Summary
Donations Attendant handles donations of furniture, clothing, and household items, greets donors, unloads donations, sorts items into furniture/household/clothing categories, determines salability, directs quality donations to processing, disposes of damaged goods, assists with pickups/deliveries, maintains dock/backroom organization, ensures safety and proper handling, provides excellent customer service to donors and store guests, attends team meetings, and collaborates with a team to ensure efficient processing of donations.
Required Qualifications
- Basic communication, reasoning, and math skills
- 1-3 years of experience working in a retail or warehouse setting
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Experience with donation sorting, warehouse, retail, or customer service work
- Familiarity with furniture handling or logistics in a nonprofit or resale environment
