Job Summary
Handle all aspects of Motor Truck Cargo, Vehicle Physical Damage, Car Hauler Liability, Commercial Property, Contractors Equipment, and Warehouse legal Liability claims. Make coverage determinations, investigate losses, evaluate exposures, and set judgmental reserves. Develop resolution strategies while managing outside surveyors, attorneys, and experts. Negotiate with tow yards to secure equipment and cargo release. Collaborate with underwriting on policy renewals to promote client relationships. Requires 1+ years of Inland Marine claims experience, strong negotiation skills, and knowledge of policy forms and the Carmack amendment. State adjuster licenses preferred. Primarily in-office role with competitive base salary and bonus eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- 1 or more years of experience handling Inland Marine Insurance claims, litigation or other related experience
- Position requires excellent negotiation skills
- Position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of the Inland Marine policy forms
- Knowledge of the Carmack amendment
