Job Summary
Inks & Coatings Operator responsible for general utility duties in production and finishing of inks and coatings, including operating mixers, packaging products, labeling containers, preparing for shipment, maintaining and cleaning equipment, conducting safety inspections, sampling for Quality Control, and aiding in process improvements to product appearance and flow; requires attention to detail, ability to operate packaging equipment and computers, multi-tasking, potential forklift certification, and effective communication for production issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Six weeks related experience preferred
- Ability to become a licensed forklift operator
- Ability to operate packaging equipment and computers
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
- Ability to write routine correspondence and complete production paperwork
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
