Job Summary
Sort and containerize all classes of mail while reading job instructions and verifying stock before setup. Download correct data files and set up transport bases and inkjet systems for quality addressing, adjusting address blocks to meet postal regulations. Use quality assurance tools to check label placement and barcode, maintaining production standards throughout the run. Report any production issues immediately to the supervisor. Operate under the 3:30 pm to 12 am Monday through Friday shift with assistance from Level Two/Three operators for machine adjustments and head cleaning.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of experience in direct mailing operations
- Ability to read a limited number of one & two syllables words
- Ability to print & speak simple sentences
- Ability to add & subtract two digit numbers
- Ability to multiply & divide with 10s & 100s
- Standing or walking most of the day
- May climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Regularly lift up to 25 pounds
- Often lift up to 40 lbs
- Rarely up to 70 lbs
- Constant use of hands and arms
- Regularly reach with hands and arms
- Reaching above shoulder level
- Close vision
- Distance vision

- Ability to focus
