Job Summary
Install, set up, maintain, and service digital UV inkjet printers across UK and European customer sites while delivering technical support, troubleshooting, and first-line diagnostics to minimize equipment downtime. Escalate technical issues promptly in line with service standards, identify additional revenue opportunities during visits, and report them to the sales team. Support strong customer relationships to maximize satisfaction and uphold company reputation. This role requires fluent English, strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge, and proficiency with diagnostic tools, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDraw. Candidates must hold a full clean driving licence and be able to travel frequently across Europe (2–3 trips per month). The position offers a salary of £35,000–£40,000 plus mileage allowance, 25 days holiday, and standard working hours of 08:30–16:30 with flexibility due to travel.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Inkjet Field Technician/Engineer
- Strong technical understanding of digital UV inkjet systems and processes
- Background in servicing large‐format printers or comparable technology (B2B)
- Excellent fault‐finding and problem‐solving ability
- Solid electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge
- Skilled in electronic diagnostic tools
- Fluent English
- Full clean driving licence
- Able to travel frequently across Europe (2–3 trips per month)
- Ideally based near Leicester
Desired Qualifications
- Additional European languages
- Strong IT skills, including network infrastructure knowledge
- Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CorelDraw
- Experience in colour management and profiling
- Confident in customer handling and delivering B2B training
- Familiar with helpdesk systems, troubleshooting procedures and warranty processes
- Experience attending exhibitions and presentations
