Job Summary
Provide mental health support for injured employees to enable safe and sustainable return to work. Develop and apply evidence-based return-to-work plans, assess functional capacity and recovery timelines, manage complex cases with multiple stakeholders, and address psychological injuries in the workplace to support employees' recovery and reintegration. The role emphasizes compassionate mental health support, vocational rehabilitation, and collaboration within Western Health’s multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes for workers returning to work and daily life.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of workplace injury and compensation systems
- Return-to-work planning and vocational rehabilitation
- Functional capacity awareness and recovery timelines
- Managing complex cases with multiple stakeholders
- Risk assessment for psychological injury
- Strong understanding of mental health conditions (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma)
- Strategies to support safe and sustainable return to work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
