Job Summary
Injury Management Advisor to provide functional delivery, guidance, processes, tools and support for effective management of injuries and claims; duties include proactive injury management and return-to-work support, coordinating workers’ compensation claims, early intervention, ensuring compliance with injury management processes and legislation, acting as a trusted advisor on illness and injury matters, managing investigations/appeals/ disputes, supporting fitness-for-work assessments and salary continuance/income protection, monitoring claims estimates and wage remittance accuracy, coaching internal stakeholders on RTW best practices, building relationships with project teams and external providers, and contributing to rehabilitation and continuous improvement initiatives at CIMIC Group.
Required Qualifications
- Allied Health or nursing qualification with AHPRA registration
- Accredited Return to Work (RTW) certification
- Proven experience managing injury management programs within a large organisation (construction, resources or similar industries preferred) across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and injury management principles
- Demonstrated experience managing workplace injuries and claims end-to-end
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and coach at all levels
- Experience in reporting, analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to manage competing priorities while delivering timely and high-quality support
