Job Summary
Create and verify accurate injection molding setup layouts, ensuring tooling, molds, materials, and equipment are staged correctly before production. Track scheduled setup times across rotating weeks and audit daily nozzle inspections and setup checklists for compliance. Coordinate preventative maintenance for molds, tooling, and machines while supporting SMED initiatives to reduce changeover times. Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to resolve issues, maintain inventory levels, and implement continuous improvement programs. Utilize ERP and CMMS systems for planning and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Millwright and/or Tool and Die Maker knowledge
- practical maintenance experience
- Previous experience as an Injection Molding Setup Technician or Setup Coordinator in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes
- mold functionality
- injection molding machine operation
- Demonstrated experience with SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies)
- mold changeovers

- Functional knowledge of AutoCAD
- Functional knowledge of Solidworks
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in injection molding machines, equipment, molds, and tooling
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Safety-oriented with a strong commitment to following safe work practices
- Certified Lift Truck, Boom Truck, and Scissor Lift operator
- Completed Fall Arrest Training
- Completed Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Training
- Completed Crane Training
- Computer proficient, including ERP systems, CMMS, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
