Job Summary
A hands-on, technical Injection Molding Operator Technician role focused on running and troubleshooting injection molding equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include mold setup and removal, starting, running, and troubleshooting machines to meet quality specifications, inspecting machinery and tooling, performing routine maintenance and housekeeping, identifying nonconforming materials, leading troubleshooting to restore equipment performance, and assisting the Process Engineer with new product/material development. The role requires shift flexibility (first shift with training on 1st for 3–6 months, and 2nd/3rd shifts with premium pay), documentation and shift handoffs, adherence to GMP and SQF, and strong mechanical aptitude, computer skills, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating injection molding machines and related manufacturing equipment
- Experience with mold setup, machine startup, troubleshooting, process adjustments, or mold changeovers strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools
- Experience with molding machines, robots, or related manufacturing equipment
- Strong organization, time management, and computer skills
- Ability to drive motorized vehicles including forklifts and elevated platforms
- Ability to lift 10-50 lbs. and stand for long periods
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work well with a variety of people
- Team-oriented mindset with solid communication and problem-solving skills
