Injection Mold Process Technician

Job Summary
Set up and operate molding, finishing, and assembly equipment, including mold changes and cutter adjustments. Start up and shut down high-volume machines while conducting hourly inspections to ensure acceptable-quality parts and monitor scrap production. Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and insert changes using forklifts for mold movement and organization. Fill out daily process records, report shift performance metrics, and troubleshoot support equipment like grinders and chillers. Act to remove workplace hazards and maintain 5S housekeeping standards while adhering to safety protocols and ISO requirements. Provide recommendations to engineering for process improvements and resolve issues affecting production efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to speak, read/comprehend, and write in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must understand and follow all departmental safety rules
- Understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- ISO sections pertaining to the position
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of related molding plastics processing and maintenance experience preferred
- Experience in machine start-up and shutdown
- Knowledge of basic machine functions
- Basic data entry
