Job Summary
Injection Mold Process Technician role (hiring title: Manufacturing Engineer Technician I) supports engineering and injection molding production by assisting in maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing production equipment; coordinating with Engineering on machine enhancements; aiding in design and testing of manufacturing equipment and systems; using CAD to assist tooling and test system design; coordinating supplier purchases for tooling/test systems; maintaining/calibrating production machinery including CNCs/PLCs/automatic tools; supporting process validation and equipment qualification; contributing to process improvements for productivity and quality; modifying tooling/fixtures/procedures for manufacturability; conducting basic time studies/data collection for lean initiatives; creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation (SOPs, work instructions, change orders); ensuring ISO, GMP, OSHA, and ESD standards; supporting audits with accurate documentation; collaborating with design, quality, and production; participating in training and development; performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 0–3 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience with PC and Windows-based software
- Exposure to engineering drawings and CAD tools (2D/3D)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally
