Job Summary
Preoperative Phone Screening RN in the Ready for Surgery Department conducts telephone-based preoperative assessments, reviews medical histories, identifies risks, provides preoperative instructions, and communicates critical findings to the Ready for Surgery team; collaborates with RNs and other healthcare providers to support a smooth surgical experience. Requires RN license in good standing, 1-2 years of nursing experience (preoperative/surgical/outpatient preferred), BLS, and proficiency with electronic health records (RHR/EMR). Strong communication, critical thinking, and detail orientation to manage multiple priorities in a full-time 1st shift role at Tower Point in Greenwood, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience (experience in preoperative care, surgical, or outpatient care setting preferred).
- BLS certified and basic computer skills.
- Strong understanding of preoperative processes and surgical workflows.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (RHR/EMR).
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
